USDT predicted for crypto casino popularity boost
Cryptocurrency continues to become a more popular payment method at online betting sites around the world, with an industry expert predicting USDT is set for particular growth.
Bitcoin and other leading cryptocurrencies are now accepted at a significant number of online casino sites, with players enjoying the fact they do not need to share financial information.
According to the co-chief executive of SOFTSWISS – a top software development company that provides gaming software and payment processing systems for online gambling operators – usage of USDT is likely to expand fast in the near future.
Writing in a data-driven report on the Hottest iGaming Trends for 2023, Andrey Starovoitov said the top three crypto options for online gambling are currently Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin.
“We also expect USDT to be an upcoming trend in the next few years,” Starovoitov wrote in the recently released report. “Despite the fact that the crypto market is going through turbulent times, operators recognise the importance of crypto payments and their influence on the project attractiveness for the audience and the final casino choice.”
Starovoitov went on to say operators of online casino sites in 2023 and beyond “will seek to integrate alternative currencies and reinforce their portfolio with new digital coins”.
Crypto casinos are becoming a lot more popular with many online betting sites now allowing their players to make a deposit using Bitcoin, Litecoin or one of the other top options. Ukraine launching e-hryvnia issued by the NBU was cited in the SOFTSWISS report as a leading example of how cryptocurrency continues to become more mainstream by the day.
Data collected by SOFTSWISS for the report also found that live dealer games are becoming increasingly popular with those who like to play with crypto. At many online casino sites, the live dealer area is now packed with dozens of rooms staffed by human dealers.
Live games based on classics like blackjack and roulette have been joined by innovative live games based on board games like Monopoly and TV shows such as Deal Or No Deal.
“To run a profitable iGaming business operators need to know what their target audience is concerned about: be it integration of top-performing titles and new game mechanics to diversify their content portfolio, or availability and seamless performance of different payment methods including crypto, or technical sustainability of web and mobile project versions,” added the SOFTSWISS chief commercial officer Max Trafimovich.
SOFTSWISS is set to showcase its new products at ICE London 2023 from February 7-9.
