Sportsbook operator invests $3m into crypto casino site
An online crypto casino is receiving a massive investment from a top sportsbook operator.
EVO.io is set to benefit from a seed investment worth $3 million from SABA Sports, which is a leading betting company in Asia.
The crypto casino is scheduled to officially launch in September, with all eyes on its progress following the major investment from the sportsbook operator. EVO.io is currently in beta.
“It is without a doubt that crypto will play key roles in iGaming in the years to come,” said a SABA Sports spokesperson in a statement announcing the news. “It may just be a simple deposit and withdrawal transaction right now, but blockchain technology can be much more.
“For example, transparency in casino games, detailed on-chain betting data, and so on. We have seen EVO.io’s vision and what they aim to achieve in the next three years, and we firmly believe they will make their mark in this industry.”
The major investment in the crypto casino from SABA Sports is set to help EVO.io out with the integration of advanced blockchain technologies into the back end of the site.
Slots, blackjack, poker and live casino games are among those that will be available to play when the crypto casino is ready to officially throw open its virtual doors in the coming weeks.
Evo.io is said to be right at the forefront of innovation. The crypto casino pledged it will feature a strong focus on responsible gaming, while players will see user satisfaction is a priority.
BTC, ETH, MATIC, BNB, TRX, USDT, and USDC will all be accepted at the crypto casino, with more options likely to be added in the cashier at a future date. New crypto casino players are currently being given the chance to claim a $200 welcome bonus if they sign up with Evo.io.
Evo.io customers will also be able to earn XP by completing tasks to move their way up the leaderboard, with a range of perks up for grabs for those who make it to the higher tiers.
A Zealy sprint that is already ongoing with the crypto casino remaining in beta mode has a prize pool worth a whopping $1,000 up for grabs. The player at the top of the leaderboard when the event comes to an end on September 6th will receive $160, while second place will get $135.
