Sportsbet.io adds four new brand ambassadors in African push

A leading crypto sports betting site has announced the addition of new brand ambassadors as it continues to focus on expansion into the growing African market.

Sportsbet.io, which has had partnerships with top English football clubs Newcastle United and Southampton, already has Nigerian football icon Nwankwo Kanu as a brand ambassador.

And the crypto sports betting site and casino has now added four more big names to its roster, starting off with Hayden Bruce Jones of SA Boxing Talk.

South Africa’s leading boxing channel, SA Boxing Talk is a respected name in the industry with Bruce Jones’ expertise being useful for Sportsbet.io.

“His work has appeared on major networks including DAZN, ESPN, and Fox Sports, helping to elevate the visibility of combat sports in South Africa and around the world,” a statement said.

Experienced cryptocurrency trader Jude Umeano, who is one of West Africa’s top YouTube stars in the sphere, is also joining Sportsbet.io as one of its new brand ambassadors.

Kwasa Genesis, another popular YouTuber with over 170,000 subscribers on his account, is also teaming up with Sportsbet.io.

Genesis recently added cryptocurrency to the range of topics that he covers on his YouTube videos, making him a natural fit as a brand ambassador for the crypto sports betting site.

Lastly, Sportsbet.io said it has signed up Shepherd Morena as its fourth new brand ambassador, following in the footsteps of the likes of Nigerian singer Harrysong and King Kaka.

“Two of the new ambassadors are just setting out on their cryptocurrency journeys alongside Sportsbet.io,” continued the crypto sports betting site’s statement.

Sportsbet.io recently also said that it has founded a groundbreaking new partnership with top Spanish football division La Liga, with the aim of increasing fan engagement in the league.

Alex Haig, director of Sportsbet.io, said in a statement released to mark the move: “The launch of this partnership with LALIGA underlines our commitment at Sportsbet.io to deliver the best possible experience to our players, going that extra mile to put them into the heart of the action. We have much more planned alongside LALIGA, so watch this space.”

Founded in 2016, Sportsbet.io is one of the world’s longest-established crypto betting sites.

This year saw it announced as a new principal partner of the Championship side Hull City, becoming the team’s back-of-shorts sponsor as well as its new official Turkish betting partner.
