Snoop Dogg-linked crypto casino launches Metaverse

The Metaverse is widely regarded as being one of the hottest trends in the world of technology right now – and one crypto casino site has got in on the act with the launch of its own version.

Roobet, which made headlines earlier in the year for appointing superstar Snoop Dogg as its first ever chief ganjaroo officer, has teamed up with Decentraland for the fresh development.

Matt Duea, the Roobet co-founder, explained in a statement that was released to mark the move that the aim is to give crypto casino players a chance to create some unique experiences.

He said: “We know brands have been reluctant to put control in the hands of their community – but we’ve never been afraid to be first, and as we seek to revolutionize the future of entertainment, we’re excited to break free from traditional constraints and offer a truly community-centric experience that celebrates creativity, interactivity, and self-expression.”

Roobet Land – which is the crypto casino’s version of the Metaverse – is available to use on both mobile and desktop, with several games playable inside. The options available to crypto casino players who log in to Roobet Land include Metaverse Crash, which boasts a real-time leaderboard so that players can see how they are getting on against others.

Players are being given the chance to earn real cash prizes by finding Roobet tokens that were hidden around the launch pad in a scavenger hunt taking place within the Metaverse, which also has digital wearable NFTs available for the characters to wear as well.

At the Roobet new Metaverse launch party at the start of this month, more than $5,000 in prizes were also put up for grabs at the crypto casino site. There is no doubt Roobet is trying new things to try to stand out from the crowd in the increasingly competitive world of crypto casinos.

In April, the crypto casino site launched a promotion with a prize pool worth more than $420,000 to mark 4/20, with the Make it Rain with Snoop Dogg campaign also including the chance for players to win backstage passes to his shows.

Duea added: “The future of entertainment starts now, and at Roobet, we’re leading the charge.”

Roobet – which gives crypto casino players the chance to play more than 3,300 games and place sports bets too – describes itself as a casino “for the internet, by the internet”.
