Drake to buy UFC stars Rolex watches after $3.7m crypto sports bet win

Canadian rap star Drake has pledged to buy Rolex watches for a pair of UFC stars who helped him to win a massive bet at a crypto casino site. Drake placed nearly $2.3 million on a wager for both Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann to win their bouts at UFC London last Saturday night.

The British stars were up against Jordan Leavitt and Hannah Goldy, with Drake in line to receive a return of over $3.7 million if they were able to come out on top in their respective bouts. Drake posted on social media about the bet in advance of UFC London, showing that he was using the crypto casino and sports betting platform Stake, of which he is a brand ambassador.

And he will have been celebrating one of his biggest betting wins to date after banking some $1.4 million in profit as a result of Pimblett and McCann winning their fights at UFC London. Pimblett had a tough start but recorded a second-round submission win over ‘Monkey King’ to improve to a 3-0 record after joining UFC just last year.

McCann then wrapped up the bet for Drake by defeating her opponent with a trademark spinning elbow, ensuring she has now won her last three UFC bouts in a row. And McCann, whose nickname is Meatball, wasted no time in hitting Drake up over social media to cheekily request a prize for her role in his crypto sports betting win.

“Molly only sent him a video right after it and asked for watches and he said he’s going to give us both a Rolex, so we’re swimming in it,” Pimblett said at the post-fight press conference.

Drake regularly posts about his crypto sports bets via social media, revealing a couple of weeks ago that he placed a $1 million bet on Israel Adesanya ahead of his fight against Jared Cannonier on Saturday night at UFC 276 in Las Vegas.

Adesanya won by decision on the night, leaving Drake to celebrate another victory, though he lost over $250,000 on a bet he placed on the Spanish Grand Prix so his luck is not always in. The 35-year-old also recently gambled millions of dollars playing online roulette at crypto casino Stake, which livestreamed the action for fans to tune into on the Twitch platform. Drake’s stream averaged 100,000 viewers and at one stage there were more than 200,000 people watching.
