Crypto casino platform marks 10th anniversary
A leading platform for crypto casinos has celebrated 10 years since it was first created.
SOFTSWISS, which powers a range of leading online sports betting sites and crypto casinos, was among the first companies in the industry to embrace cryptocurrencies. The platform now accepts around 20 different coins and more options are being added for players all the time.
All in all, almost three-quarters (70 per cent) of sites that use the SOFTSWISS Casino Platform support digital currencies. A growing proportion of monthly payments, currently at around 15%, are being made in crypto on the SOFTSWISS platform at the present time.
Max Trafimovich, chief commercial officer at SOFTSWISS, said in a statement released to mark the firm’s 10th birthday that using cryptocurrency is a “strategic imperative”, not merely a trend.
He added: “The significance of cryptocurrency lies in its ability to transcend traditional payment barriers, offering players a secure and efficient financial experience. This innovative approach caters to the evolving preferences of tech-savvy users and positions iGaming operators at the forefront of digital innovation in an increasingly dynamic market.”
The SOFTSWISS executive also noted that cryptocurrencies are continuing to “redefine financial norms”. Trafimovich says it means “their role in iGaming becomes pivotal for operators seeking to stay competitive and meet the expectations of a modern, diverse player base.”
Last year saw the SOFTSWISS crypto casino platform launch its new In-Game Currency Conversion feature, using which players can switch seamlessly between using crypto and fiat currencies at online casino sites. A year after it was set up, 85% of all bets in crypto casinos that are being powered by the SOFTSWISS Casino Platform were made via the innovative feature.
As well as marking its 10th anniversary in December 2023, SOFTSWISS has celebrated scooping a range of top prizes at Malta’s recent Best Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2023.
The Best Technology Entrepreneur of the Year Award went to SOFTSWISS founder Ivan Montik, while the head of SOFTSWISS game aggregator, Tatyana Kaminskaya, was awarded the Best Gaming Technology Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the ceremony.
SOFTSWISS chief business development officer Olga Resiga was named the Best Female Gaming Entrepreneur to cap off a successful evening for the crypto casino platform.
The company will soon be releasing a series of in-depth podcasts that will be focused on cryptocurrency topics, which SOFTSWISS says will be “providing a valuable opportunity for audiences to delve into the intricacies of crypto-related subjects”.
