Crypto casino extends esports links with fresh sponsorship terms
A leading crypto casino has built stronger links with the burgeoning world of esports thanks to a new agreement to sponsor a top team.
BC.Game, which is one of the best known crypto gambling sites in the world, has confirmed that it has partnered with Cloud9 to expand its growing esports portfolio.
The rebranded Cloud9 BC.GAME Dota 2 team is set to debut at The International 2024, which is one of the most important competitions on the esports calendar.
As well as being a crypto casino, BC.Game has a sports betting side where Dota 2 and Counter-Strike are among the options that customers have available to bet on.
Cloud9 has competed in Dota 2 for a decade – it snapped up the former Speed Gaming team to make its debut in 2014 – and has grown to be one of the scene’s most recognisable teams. Its co-founder and chief executive Jack Etienne said the group is “thrilled to reignite our presence” in Dota 2 thanks to the new deal with BC.Game.
“We are excited to strengthen our partnership with Cloud9 and make significant strides in the Dota 2 scene,” said the BC.Game chief executive Jack Dorset in a statement released to mark the new deal. He added: “This collaboration is an opportunity for us to push the boundaries of what we can achieve in esports and deliver exceptional experiences for our community.”
BC.GAME has had close links with the esports team for a while. It first partnered with Cloud9 back in 2022 when the site became Cloud9’s official Gaming and Sports Betting Partner.
Leading sports marketing agency SportQuake was involved in brokering the latest terms, which have been celebrated by both the crypto casino and the esports organisation.
It has been a busy time for BC.Game, with the crypto casino’s public profile set to explode in the coming weeks and months thanks to the site’s new partnership with Leicester City. The football club, who will return to the Premier League for the 2024-25 season after sealing promotion from the Championship last term, are set to feature the crypto casino’s branding on the front of their shirts after BC.Game paid a significant sum to replace King Power as the principal partner.
Rayne Davis, BC.Game’s director of marketing and affiliates, said: “We are excited to join forces with Leicester City, a club with a rich history, a passionate fanbase and authentic global appeal.”
