Crypto casino deal with MMA star hailed as ‘natural fit’

Michael Page has become the latest sports star to collaborate with a crypto casino, with the site describing the new partnership as a “natural fit”.

Bets.io is already the official betting partner of the Professional Fighters League and has now sealed a deal with Page, who is best known by his nickname ‘Venom’.

The 37-year-old takes part in the Welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is closing in on a place in the top 10 of the UFC rankings after his most recent victory.

Venom’s defeat of Kevin Holland at UFC 299 in Miami last month – his debut in the competition after switching from rivals Bellator – came by unanimous decision.

The London-born MMA star has an impressive record of 22 wins and 2 losses from his career to date with Bets.io’s chief marketing officer Evgeniy Babitsyn hailing their new agreement.

“Our collaboration with Michael ‘Venom’ Page represents more than just a partnership – it’s a convergence of passion, authenticity and a shared vision for redefining norms,” he said in a statement. “As pioneers in our respective industries, we’re excited to embark on this journey with a trailblazer like MVP, who embodies the spirit of rebellion and innovation.

“Joining forces with Michael ‘Venom’ Page feels like a natural fit. We share a passion for pushing boundaries and creating unforgettable experiences. Together, we’re poised to make a lasting impact on both the gaming and martial arts industries.”

Page has spoken about a potential Manchester date in the summer for his next bout, targeting the unbeaten Irish fighter Ian Machado Garry as a possible opponent.

Speaking about the new deal with the crypto casino site, ‘Venom’ added: “Bets.io resembles the creative person I am in the cage, allowing me to be myself in our partnership. I know we’re going to put on a show together and cook up a storm in our respective industries.”

Bets.io also accepts deposits made using a regular bank card, with the funds added to the crypto casino then automatically being converted to an available cryptocurrency.

The site – which also has its own crypto casino app – has been a huge hit with customers and critics alike, having scooped a series of major honours over the past couple of years.

Bets.io was named the Best Crypto Casino 2024 at the most recent Sigma awards, following on from the rising star prize it collected at the same ceremony two years earlier.
