150,000 users join new crypto casino in early access phase
A new crypto casino has launched with 150,000 users who signed up for early access, with the founder of the site comparing playing there to a night out in a gambling hub like Las Vegas.
MyPrize offers casino classics such as blackjack, slots and roulette, with the site claiming to be the first ever multiplayer online casino. MyPrize has been created for international markets, while the MyPrize US brand has been specifically tailored for American users to register.
The US MyPrize site has been launched as a free-to-play social casino, while the main MyPrize brand allows real money casino gameplay using cryptocurrencies. It has launched in countries including Switzerland, South Africa, Singapore, Norway and China, but not the UK.
Chief executive Zach Bruch said in a statement: “We’re not just facilitating online gambling. We are crafting a comprehensive social and interactive experience, bringing the vibrancy of a live casino environment directly to our users.”
The MyPrize ‘Bet Together’ technology is said to be one of the site’s unique selling points compared to the other crypto casinos out there in what is an increasingly crowded market.
Live streaming is a crucial part of the experience at the new MyPrize crypto casino site. Players are being given the chance to stream their gaming sessions and interact in real time with their audience in real time. Creators will have uncapped earning potential, according to the crypto casino site, while the environment operates independently from traditional advertising revenues.
“MyPrize leans into the strengths of online communities, fostering deeper interpersonal connections and enhancing the overall social experience,” added the MyPrize founder Bruch.
Key names from the lifestyle and gaming organization 100 Thieves are among those to have been signed up as creators by the new MyPrize crypto casino site, which is making a splash.
A few weeks ago, it was revealed that MyPrize had raised $13 million across two funding rounds, giving the crypto casino company an early valuation in the region of $140 million.
Bruch told industry news outlet The Block that the first round raised $5 million with the second bringing in a further $8 million, having been led by Dragonfly and Boxcars Ventures respectively.
Initial investors to have put money into the MyPrize crypto casino idea include the likes of Jack Entertainment’s Steve Rosenthal. Bruch was a co-founder of Recur, an NFT platform that was shut down in August 2023 after “unforeseen challenges and shifts in the business landscape”.
