Crypto casino sponsors UK esports team

One of the leading esports teams in the UK has secured a new sponsorship deal that will see it join forces with a top online crypto casino. Into The Breach will be rebranded to ITB.Shuffle Esports thanks to what is being described as a substantial financial injection from the crypto site, though the amount has not been revealed.

However, following the new sponsorship deal with Shuffle, a massive $1 million annual wage budget will be put in place in order to attract leading players to play for Into The Breach. Shuffle previously acted as a sponsor of the esports team, but is now stepping up its investment.

Only Into The Breach’s CS2 and Dota teams will be covered by the rebranding, with others such as those competing in Halo and Rainbow Six: Siege not included in the terms of the deal.

ITB.Shuffle Esports will return to Dota 2 having stepped back from that esport last year and its roster for the team, along with the new CS2 groupings, are set to be confirmed soon. ITB’s recent esports events include the Halo London Major and Siege Manchester Major.

Speaking about the new partnership with the crypto casino, Into The Breach’s founder and chief executive Sam Cook said that Shuffle is a “trusted brand and reputable in the betting space”.He added: “This integrated partnership will allow both brands to reach new heights unattainable before. It’ll mean long-term support for high-calibre rosters that’ll compete at the very top of the esports mantle, alongside tournaments, fan engagement, and new community initiatives. This is ITB bigger, better, and with far-reaching impact – merging Shuffle’s esports aspirations with our own infrastructure and talent. Skies the limit with this partnership –  ITB x Shuffle Esports.”The Shuffle Masters series is being created as part of the new initiative. This tournament series will provide opportunities for Tier 2-3 level teams, boosting brand recognition of the crypto site.”As someone who grew up playing CS, I’m incredibly excited to be further involved in the space through Shuffle Esports,” added the crypto casino’s co-founder and CEO Noah Dummett.”We’ll be investing heavily in the team and the broader community to build a team that reflects the same ethos we have at Shuffle.com – we’re here to win and to have a good time doing it.”Shuffle is a leading crypto casino and sports betting platform, with the site having first been launched in February 2023 and going on to quickly attract tens of thousands of players.
